Projects

The POW City Kinsmen undertake several projects throughout the year. Our major fundraising projects are The POW City Kinsmen Christmas Tree Lot and Top of the Hops. Top of the Hops is a beer, wine and spirits and food tasting expo held annually at Prairieland Park. We also have a Top Shot Hockey unit that is used for fund raising through both rentals and manned booth use. The POW City Kinsmen also run dedicated projects to raise funds for Telemiracle , including a pass the bucket night at one Blades game and a similar evening raising donations at local pubs and lounges. We would like to express our sincere appreciation for organizations who help us raise money for the community. We also do a dedicated fundraising project twice a year with proceeds going to Cystic Fibrosis.

The funds that we raise from our two major projects are used in the community to support organizations such as Farm in the Dell, Camp Tamarack, Brent and Penney's Adopt a Family and many more. In addition, our club performs service projects helping organizations like the Girl Guides and Camp Tamarack doing hands on tasks such as building repairs and construction projects. Some of these service projects have been supported by companies and suppliers too numerous to mention here, allowing our members to use and learn skills to help these groups.

On behalf of the POW City Kinsmen, we would like to thank the City of Saskatoon for the support we've received over the past 40 years. We look forward to continue serving the community's greatest need.
